Transitions are a part of life. In fact, it’s been said the only constant in life, is constant change.

As my daughter prepares to mark the end of the school year with final exams and a prom, my sons gallivant off to new basketball leagues, summer jobs and far off destinations.

I am sure I can’t hold onto those ‘Kodak’ moments no matter how hard I try.

The years just roll on by.

Today is the summer equinox, the longest day of the year. Not to depress you, but mid-June dawns as we slowly embark on movement towards the shortest day of the year.

So it is, that we mark a transition from Paula Schmitt’s ‘Mom Writer’s Literary Magazine’ to a new, as yet, still unfolding ‘Mamazina Magazine’.

The old website is gone. We’ll have many of our regular blogging team moving over here to our new WordPress Blog, but we are truly in a process of self-examination and re-birth, even as our first issue rolled off the presses and into the hands of Mamapalooza Festival goers, subscribers and new members this April 2010.

Response to the latest edition has been positive. There is a lot of great Mama-energy behind this project and I can’t wait to see where the future takes us!

Sometimes change doesn’t need to be filled with nostalgia, it’s just pure excitement for what will happen next.
